The 13.56MHz Contact & Contactless Smart Card Reader S9-BU-13-00 is a multifunction desktop reader designed for secure card enrollment, membership systems, payment terminals, access control, identity verification and smart card development. The reader combines 13.56 MHz ISO/IEC 14443A contactless card support with an integrated ISO/IEC 7816 contact smart card slot, allowing contactless RFID cards and contact IC cards to be handled through a single USB-connected device.
Supported contactless card families include common MIFARE products such as S50, S70, Ultralight, NTAG21x, DESFire, Pro and Plus, together with compatible FM1208 contactless CPU cards. The contact smart card interface supports 24C-series memory cards, SLE4442/SLE4428 and compatible contact CPU cards. The reader also integrates three PSAM slots for secure authentication and application development. Contactless reading distance is typically up to approximately 5 cm, depending on card type and operating conditions.
The reader connects through USB and operates from a 5V USB supply. SDK, dynamic libraries, example code, demo software, communication examples and development documentation are available for contactless card, contact smart card and PSAM integration.
