The MIFARE DESFire EV3 Smart Card is a secure 13.56MHz contactless credential designed for access control, employee identification, campus systems, membership programs, ticketing, transit, and other applications requiring stronger authentication and protected data storage. The standard 85.6 × 54mm CR80 PVC card format supports full-surface printing and personalization for reusable credential projects.
Operating at 13.56MHz HF, the card can be configured with NXP MIFARE DESFire EV3 in 2K, 4K, or 8K EEPROM versions according to the required application and memory capacity. DESFire EV3 supports advanced security functions including AES-based authentication and secure messaging, together with a flexible application and file structure for projects requiring controlled data access, multiple applications, and stronger credential protection than basic UID-only or legacy memory cards.
Typical reading distance is approximately 1 to 5cm, depending on the reader antenna, reader output, card orientation, and surrounding environment. Final compatibility depends on the reader firmware, security configuration, key management, and application architecture. Custom services include CMYK offset printing, laser or inkjet serialization, signature panels, magnetic stripes, hole punching, UV anti-counterfeiting printing, and matte or frosted surface finishes.
