The TK4100 125kHz LF RFID Clamshell Access Card is a rugged contactless credential designed for door access control, employee identification, attendance systems, membership applications, and other short-range low-frequency RFID projects. Its rigid 85.6 × 54mm clamshell housing provides greater physical protection than a standard thin PVC card, while the integrated slot allows convenient attachment to lanyards, badge clips, or card holders.
Operating at 125kHz LF, the card uses a TK4100 read-only RFID chip for EM4100/EM4200-compatible access-control applications according to the target reader system. It provides a factory-programmed 64-bit unique ID and does not provide rewritable user memory. The credential is therefore typically linked with user identity, door permissions, attendance records, or membership information in the access-control or backend management system.
Typical reading distance is approximately 2 to 12cm, depending on the reader antenna, reader output, card orientation, and surrounding materials. The rigid ABS clamshell construction provides IP55 weather resistance for everyday access-control environments. Custom services include inkjet or laser ID numbering, custom logo printing on the PVC backing, serialization, and optional lanyard or badge-accessory configurations.
