The 36x13mm FR-4 UHF RFID On-Metal Tag is a compact industrial RFID tag designed for identification and tracking directly on metal assets where installation space is limited. Its narrow 36x13mm footprint and rigid FR-4 fiberglass construction make it suitable for server racks, tools, machinery, IT equipment, production fixtures, compact metal containers, and other metallic assets where conventional UHF labels may experience significant RF detuning.
Operating in the 860-960MHz UHF band under EPC Class 1 Gen 2 / ISO/IEC 18000-6C, the tag uses an Impinj M830 RFID chip for serialized asset identification and compatible UHF RFID workflows. Its dedicated on-metal antenna structure is designed for direct installation on metallic surfaces and provides more stable RF performance than standard non-metal UHF tags when correctly mounted.
Actual read performance depends on reader output power, antenna gain and polarization, tag orientation, mounting position, metal surface dimensions, and the surrounding environment. Read distances of up to approximately 5 meters may be achievable on suitable metal surfaces with an appropriate reader setup. Because this model prioritizes a smaller mounting footprint, performance should be verified on the actual asset before deployment. Custom services include industrial adhesive backing, laser-engraved UID or serial numbers, EPC encoding, and project-specific mounting configurations.
