The 135x22mm UHF RFID On-Metal Tag is a durable long-range RFID tag designed for identification and tracking of metal assets, industrial equipment, machinery, warehouse racks, containers, and other applications where conventional RFID labels may experience performance loss when mounted directly on metal. Its slim 135 × 22mm format provides a practical option for elongated or space-limited metal surfaces.
Operating in the 860-960MHz UHF band under EPC Class 1 Gen 2 / ISO/IEC 18000-6C, the tag can be configured with the Alien Higgs 9 RFID IC or other supported chip options. Higgs 9 provides a nominal 96-bit EPC expandable up to 496 bits, up to 688 bits of user memory, and a 48-bit unique TID, making it suitable for projects that require additional encoded asset or service information beyond a standard EPC identifier.
Typical read distance is approximately 1 to 10 meters on metal under suitable conditions, depending on reader output power, antenna gain and polarization, tag orientation, mounting position, metal geometry, and the surrounding environment. The integrated anti-metal isolation structure is designed specifically for direct installation on metallic surfaces. Custom services include laser or inkjet barcode and QR-code printing, color printing, pre-encoding, serial numbering, and optional screw-hole mounting.
